The Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) is structurally divided into divisions, which are in turn divided into regional brigades, which are composed of individual camps.

Our camp is named after the original regiment that was formed in our area:   The 52nd Georgia Regiment.  Hence, we are known as Camp #1418, 52nd GA Regiment, of the 2nd Brigade of the Georgia Division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Our Purpose:
To fulfill the charge
given to the SCV by the

themselves.

Charge to the
Sons of Confederate Veterans
____________________________________

"To you, Sons of Confederate Veterans,
we will commit the vindication of the Cause
 for which we fought.
To your strength will be given the defense
of the Confederate soldier's good name,
the guardianship of his history,
the emulation of his virtues,
the perpetuation of those principles which he loved
and which you love also,
and those ideals which made him glorious
and which you also cherish."

Lt. General Stephen Dill Lee, Commander General of the United Confederate Veterans.
As quoted in the Minutes of the Sixteenth Annual Meeting
and Reunion of the United Confederate Veterans.
Held in the City of New Orleans, LA;
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, April 25th, 26th, and 27th 1906
